Red Motorcycle

After seeing an picture of this set, I decided to make it. I forgot the name of the Technic set but it was very simple so I made it. In the original version it is yellow, but I did not have one of the yellow beams so I switched to red. The yellow wheels doesn't match the red color and that is the only disappointing thing in the model. It has rear suspension. If you have the right pieces, you can probably build it from the pictures.

Anatomy of a Truck- Part 2

This is continued from here. I just finished making this- an add-on feature which the frame will be built on. It is very simple and only took 10-15 min. The truck's suspension can still function, and you can put rubber bands or shock absorbers (all of my shock absorbers are on my SUV). The truck should be completely finished (at most) by next week. LDD- Lego Digital Designer Part 3

Last and final part. Well its not really a "part" but I just wanted to show another creation. It's very simple and I wanted to try out the roof tile pieces in LDD so I made this. As you can see, I'm not that good with "Classic" Lego bricks. Click on picture to enlarge.

Anatomy of a Truck- Part 1

I will be doing a series of posts on a truck starting with the very beginning and then adding on to it. This is part 1 and is the main body. It is 4 wheel drive and has 6 wheels. The front wheel is for steering and is simple rack and pinion. The 2nd and 3rd set of wheels are driven, but don't have differentials. All of the wheels can be twisted; It is like a suspension without shock absorbers. I don't know what it is called, I don't even know if it has a name, but if you do know what it is called please say so in the comments. Click on pictures to enlarge.

LDD- Lego Digital Designer Part 1

These are some models I've made on LDD. LDD is a program where you can build with virtual Legos. After you built it you can buy the model your built Lego Factory. SUV

I've always wanted to make a vehicle with full independent suspension and still have rear wheel drive. I wish I got the 8297 to make a vehicle with suspension and drive. I used 4 u-joints (2 on each side) to make the rear wheels and pieces from 8262 to make the front. It has full independent suspension, rear wheel drive, front rack and pinion steering, a 4 piston engine and a 4- speed manual transmission. The car cannot fully work as it is connected by 2 12 teeth double bevel gears where the differential should be and is very weak. I hope to get the new differential in 8258 or 8265. I hope to get more studded plates and will add mudguards in the final version (if I have time). Click on pictures to enlarge.

Engine

This is an engine I made. I don't know if it can be called an engine since its electric powered, but I made it to resemble Misha van Beek's engine, where she puts 4 RCX motors in a "V" shape- two on each side, except with NXT motors. Mines only has two motors for the NXT motors are far to big. The bevel gears don't skip unless you press down with a lot of force. I hope to improve on the engine and make different versions and put it into a vehicle. Click on pictures to enlarge.
